This is a residential design.
The difficulty of this design is that the actual construction site is a narrow old house with a rectangular shape. Single-family buildings have been built on the left and right sides of the old apartment, so there cannot be expanded but can only be renovated.
Considering the particularity of the location and area of this old house, I chose to transform the apartment into a three-storey building. The first floor is the living room, kitchen and bathroom, the second floor is the study and audio-visual room, and the third floor is the bedroom and bathroom. In terms of appearance and construction materials, I chose to use thickened tempered glass with thermal insulation to achieve aesthetics and ensure sufficient sunlight in the house.
This is a Landscape Architecture design.
People generally like the park's natural elements, such as lawns and lakes. Therefore, I designed a small artificial river to the design and used it as a demarcation point, with a lawn on one side and a more modern square on the other.
A layered design is adopted to create a sense of space. When people exit the building and enter the park, they will first see an open square. The chair is designed as a square with trees planted in the middle. People can sit in the shade of the trees and enjoy the cool anytime. A chessboard-like lawn is designed on one side of the square. People can go to the artificial river from the stairs of the square. The artificial river is paved with wooden platforms and gravel roads. People can reach the lawn on the other side of the artificial river through platforms and gravel roads. Considering that the site is in Japan, cherry blossom trees were chosen for the trees planted on the lawn on the other side.
This project is to design the future smartphone. The users I'm targeting are people with disabilities. The challenge is designing a smartphone for them to use from the perspective of people with disabilities. Considering the inconvenience of the visually impaired and hearing impaired, I finally designed a concept phone that uses a chip implanted in the human body. This concept phone can form images in the human brain through brain waves. After planting the chip, users can select functions through their brain waves. Users can operate through nerves and thoughts, even the visually impaired. The deaf or hard-of-hearing person can freely use the paired ear after the implanted chip. The outerwear type is mainly earphones using nanotechnology. It also has a bone conduction design for deaf and hard-of-hearing users. Bone conduction earphones can provide services for users not injured by the auditory nerve of the inner ear. So they can also hear the sound and communicate without barriers. There are still some technical difficulties in realising this concept phone. However, with the rapid development of technology, it is believed that these problems will be overcome and further improved in the future.
This project is to design Brand imagery, logo, posters, website pages (both desktop and mobile) and tickets for an upcoming music carnival.
For me, the biggest difficulty in this project is the cultural differences brought about by different cultural backgrounds. This music carnival has mysterious elements such as participants wearing masks. If the design reflects the three key points of the music festival, carnival, and young people, it is the part that I have been thinking about and improving in the design process. Due to the differences between Asian culture and Western culture, the first few design versions failed to get good feedback. After that, I tried to adjust the direction and change my thinking. The overall design uses light and bright colors to attract the attention of young people, and uses a design style that contains a little Asian culture and is relatively simple and straightforward. In the end, this project also achieved good results.
